Property Facilities
Our holiday park hosts all you need for camping or staying in your motor home or caravan. With modern and clean facilities consisting of three kitchens, four toilet & shower blocks, two laundries and a TV and dining room. Showers are on a 6 minute timer. A playground and trampolines for the children and of course fantastic views. We have heaps of free BBQ's dotted around the camp and BBQ's close to all our accommodation units.
General Room Facilities
All units have crockery, cutlery pots & pans. All have dish cloths, dishcloths & dish washing liquid. All sheets, blanket & duvets and towels are supplied but depending on the type of unit you book will depend on what cooking facilities you have. Units left messy or smelly after cooking or any damage may incur an additional charge. All our units and facilities are NO SMOKING. An instant $200 charge will apply to anyone who smokes in a unit.

Location / Distances
We are located across the road from the beautiful Lake Tekapo. We are about 500m from Tekapo Springs and 1km from the town village. Just a little further down the road is the famous Church of the Good Shepherd. Being a small town everything is within walking distance if you want to stretch your legs.

Additional Information
We have dog friendly sites that are available all year. We have developed this area especially for all our dog lovers. Please book only these sites when travelling with a dog. We don't allow dogs when staying in accommodation, this means they can't stay in the car either. If unsure please contact reception. T'S & C's do apply.

The Lakes Edge Lodge was purpose built with the backpacker in mind. It is modern in design yet blends in with the alpine environment and is the closest backpackers to the beautiful shores of Lake Tekapo and the most popular swimming and boating beach. It is also only a short walk to Tekapo Springs and the Mt John walkway. Over the summer months paddle board and kayak hire is available. It has a modern well equipped kitchen with a large lounge and dining room with Sky TV and a great view of the lake. The outdoor BBQ area is perfect for mixing and mingling and meeting new people. This lodge is perfect for groups, sports clubs, craft groups, anyone looking to host a lot of people. You can pre-booked a free pick up from the Intercity Bus that arrives in Lake Tekapo at 12.05pm. We will pick you up outside the Tekapo Four Square Supermarket and we can also arrange to drop you back at the bus on your departure day.

The lodge has a modern well equipped with an oven as well. There is plenty of crockery, cutlery, pots, pans etc with two large fridges and a small freezer on the deck at the kitchen door.
Two free BBQ's are available for guests to use and a wood burner in the lounge area will keep you toasty in the winter. Feel free to put a log on!
Women and men's toilets and showers and a coin operated laundry.
General Room Facilities
Every bunk room has a heater and the bunk beds are provided with a bottom sheet, pillow and pillow case, a duvet, blanket and a top sheet is placed at the end of the bed. When making your bed please ensure the top sheet is placed between you and the duvet. All bottom bunks have a privacy curtain.

NO DOGS; this also means they can't come and stay in your car. We have dedicated dog sites in the holiday park.
The backpackers may not suitable for infants and young children.
Please contact reception directly if travelling with children for other accommodation options if required.
