The Lake Tekapo Camp Ground FacilitiesAt the Lake Tekapo camp ground you will find clean showers with plenty of hot water and baby bath facilities in the ladies shower area. The Lake Tekapo camp ground kitchen facilities offers cooking ranges, microwave, fridge and freezer units, chairs and tables, a hot water zip and toasters. The kitchen area is a popular gathering point in the evenings where campers flock to cook their dinner and exchange stories of their travel adventures in New Zealand. The Lake Tekapo camp ground features 4 industrial size Maytag washing machines and 4 dryers located in our main block. These machines operate on $2 coins. Washing powder is also available at $2 for 2 washes. The Lake Tekapo camp ground also features a large TV lounge for catching the evening news or the odd episode of Coro. We of course offer 24 hour camp security. There is also a shopping area nearby with a supermarket, general store, shops, fantastic pizzeria and restaurants. The Tekapo township also has all the tourist operators you would expect to find in a New Zealand holiday destination.
Showers/Toilets Located in our camp grounds are clean showers with plenty of hot water. Baby bath facilities are available in the ladies shower area. Please note that the showers are run by a $2.00 coin. $2.00 equals 10
