Our Lake Tekapo Motels and Holiday Park offer a great base for enjoying the plethora of activities the Tekapo area has to offer, and our affordable accommodation options enable you to splash out on some truly amazing experiences to make your stay in New Zealand memorable.
In the summer months (December – March) our lakeside Holiday Park and Camp Grounds offer easy access to the great boating and water-based activities that make Lake Tekapo a favourite destination. Activities such as water-skiing, wake boarding, swimming and fishing have kept our regulars coming back to our camp grounds and holiday park for years. The large open spaces in the Mackenzie Basin offer many possibilities for mountain biking, horse trekking, golfing and walking.
In winter (June – August) the Roundhill Ski Field provides a great family ski area situated 30 just minutes drive from our camp grounds, and we also have a naturally frozen ice skating rink right on the premises offering both daytime and night-time ice-skating. For the ultimate in relaxation, the natural hot pools are well worth a visit.
Below is a list of just some of the activities available in the Lake Tekapo area.
